Acrylic Workshop

This workshop is ideal for beginners and artists who want to incorporate new techniques in their work.  Class will utilize a limited palette, acrylic skins and learn how to use Notan for improved composition.  â€‹

Paintings shown are the work of the artist.  Students will determine their own painting composition during class.  Reference materials available or students may bring their own.  Bring your own lunch/drink.

(Notan is a Japanese term that literally means “light-dark harmony”. Artists use “notan studies” to explore different arrangements of light and dark elements in a painting without having the distraction of other elements like color, texture, and finer details.)
